From our home base, the Blue Grouse Country Inn, located in the beautiful Upper Clearwater Valley we will start our adventure excursion on the second day into the white wilderness of Wells Gray Park. Exploring the Hemp Creek Canyonlands we will reach the old Trapper’s Cabin by the Clearwater River, where we will spend the night. This is a very primitive and old cabin with wooden bunks, a wood stove, table and benches, no electricity and running water. We use propane to cook and for the lights and an outhouse is the only sanitary installment. A winter evening around the campfire by the Clearwater River will bring unforgettable memories. ----------------------- Von unserer Basis, dem im Upper Clearwater Valley gelegenen Blue Grouse Country Inn aus, starten wir am zweiten Tag in unsere Abenteuer-Exkursion in die weisse Wildnis des Wells Gray Parks. Während unserem Entdeckungstrip durch die Hemp Creek Canyonlands erreichen wir das Old Trapper's Cabin am Clearwater River, wo wir übernachten werden. Diese Hütte ist alt und primitiv eingerichtet mit Holz-pritschen, Holzofen, Tischen und Bänken. Es hat keine Elektrizität und kein fliessendes Wasser. Wir benützen Propan Gas um zu kochen und als sanitäre Einrichtung dient ein "Plumsklo". Ein Winterabend mit Campfeuer am Clearwater River ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. |
