Homeplace Ranch is a year round working & guest ranch in Alberta's high cattle country. The main ranch lays about 50 km (31 miles) south-west of Calgary, in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains. In addition to the ranch property, we also ride on the surrounding several thousand acres, most used for cattle ranching. Bears, deer, coyotes, elk and other wildlife are frequently seen. The ranch was homesteaded in 1912. Photographs and artifacts of the original owners are still displayed, and many log buildings from that period are currently in use. An additional lodge was added in 2002, which houses two couples or a family of six.

Die Homeplace Ranch ist eine ganzjährlich geöffnete Rinder- und Guest Ranch im Rindergebiet von Alberta. Die Haupt-
ranch liegt ca 50 km südwestlich von Calgary in den Aus-
läufern der Rocky Mountains. Zusätzlich zum Grundstück der Ranch reiten wir auch auf einigen Tausend Hektaren angrenzendes Staatsland, das als Rinderrweiden genutzt werden und wo viele Wildtiere, wie Bären, Hirsche, Rehen und Koyoten beobachtet werden könnenn. Die Ranch wurde 1912 gegründet und ist mit Fotografien und Antiquitäten aus dieser Zeit dekoriert. Mehrere der ursprünglichen Gebäude sind heute noch in Gebrauch. Ein zweites Haus wurde 2002 erbaut und bietet 2 Paaren oder einer Familie von bis zu 6 Personen Platz.
