The idea behind our expedition to the Great Sand Hills of Saskatchewan was to gather preliminary evidence for measuring the rate of increasing movement among the dunes and survey what seems to be a decline in vegetation in the hope of understanding further the climactic changes in the north west. Now we are planning for the collection of data in the summers of 2004 and 2006 to balance the picture.
Guests may accompany an expedition and participate in the collection of data but should inform the lodge at least six months in advance. It is fascinating work especially for those with an interest in geology or archaeology. Most of these regions are inaccessible, except by air. Research teams work and live off covered wagon.

Die Idee hinter unseren Expeditionen in den "Great Sand Hills of Saskatchewan" war die, den eigentlichen Grund für vermehrte vorrücken der Sanddünen zu messen und das Schwinden der Vegetation und die klimatische Veränderung im Nordwesten zu studieren. Nun planen wir im Jahre 2004 und 2006 Daten zu sammeln um uns ein ausgewogeneres Bild der Situation machen zu können.
Interessenten die sich für eine Teilnahme an einer der den Expeditionen und dem Sammeln von Daten interessieren melden sich bitte ca. 6 Monate im Voraus an. Es wird eine faszinierende Arbeit für Personen die sich für Geologie oder Archeologie intressieren. Die meisten der Reginen in denen wir arbeiten sind nur mit dem Flugzeug erreichbar. Während einer Expedition leben Sie in einem einfachen Zeltlager.
